Privacy

The privacy of visitors to Orioles-Nation.com is important to me, as I recognize that the privacy of your personal information is important. This is a list of what types of personal information ON receives and collects when you visit, and how I keep that information safe. I will never sell your personal information to third parties.

Log Files
As with most other websites, ON collects data contained in log files. The information in the log files include your IP address, your ISP (internet service provider, such as AOL or Comcast), the browser you used to visit ON (such as Internet Explorer or Firefox), the time you visited ON, and which pages you visited throughout the site.

Cookies and Web Beacons
ON uses cookies to store data on whether you’ve voted in a poll and to keep you logged in on the ON forums. I use third party advertisements to support the site. Some of these advertisers may use technology such as cookies and web beacons when they advertise, which will also send these advertisers (such as Google through the Google AdSense program) information including your IP address, your ISP , the browser you used to visit ON, and in some cases, whether you have Flash installed. This is generally used for geo-targeting purposes (showing Baltimore real estate ads to someone in Baltimore, for example). You can chose to disable or selectively turn off cookies or third-party cookies in your browser settings, or by managing preferences in programs such as Norton Internet Security. However, this can affect how you are able to interact with ON as well as other websites. This could include the inability to login to services or programs, such as logging into the ON forums.
