Scouting Report
Swing needs compacting at times; loops bat head through the zone occasionally when he tries to mash it. Smooth swing with some loft. Aggressive approach which leads to the low walk rate, but high home run totals. Glove and ability to play first is underrated — rather short compared to landscape of tall first basemen, but athletic ability and quick reactions should go a long way. Could move to left field if necessary. Average arm strength. Tick below-average runner. Needs to stay healthy and keep hamstring problems away if he’s going to become a legitimate first base prospect.
