Scouting Report
Works with a plus fastball in the 92-95 mph range and a 83-85 mph slider. He has worked with a curveball before — that was also a plus pitch at times — but he’s working with strictly the slider in 2011. There’s a lot of effort in his delivery, which puts some extra pressure on his back, neck, and arm. Power stuff, which is often unhittable, should push him through the system quickly and he could help in Baltimore’s bullpen as soon as 2012.
