The Orioles have signed New Zealand Teenager Pita Rona, according to Stuff.co.nz .
Rona, 17, is a former Black Sox softball player. There is not much else known about him at the time. The plan is for him to meet up with the team’s development program in Australia, according to Stuff.co.nz
There has never been a major league baseball player from New Zealand.
