The Orioles today announced that they have recalled RHP DYLAN BUNDY from Double-A Bowie. When he makes his first appearance, Bundy (19 years, 309 days) will be the first Oriole to debut before his 20th birthday since RHP MIKE ADAMSON, July 1, 1967 (19 years, 291 days).

Bundy, the Orioles first round selection (fourth overall) in the 2011 First Year Player Draft, went a combined 9-3 with a 2.08 ERA (103.2IP, 24ER) in 23 starts with three affiliates this season, striking out 119 and walking 28. Following the minor league season, he was named to the Baseball America Minor League All-Star Team.

He began the year with Class-A Delmarva, where he went 1-0 in eight starts without allowing an earned run in 30.0 innings. Bundy then went 6-3 with a 2.84 ERA (57.0IP, 18ER) in 12 starts for Class-A Frederick. He finished his minor league season with Double-A Bowie, going 2-0 with a 3.24 ERA (16.2IP, 6ER) in three starts. Bundy earned the win in Game One of the Eastern League Playoffs over Akron on September 5, allowing one earned run over 6.0 innings with seven strikeouts.

Bundy will join INF MANNY MACHADO in making his major league debut at age 20 or younger, the first time a pair of Orioles that young has debuted in the same season since 1964 (OF PAUL BLAIR and LHP FRANK BERTAINA).
