The Orioles have announced that they have designated OF Kyle Hudson for assignment to clear a spot on the 40-man roster for LHP Wei-Yin Chen.
Hudson, 25, has a career .276/.362./.314 batting line with zero HR in four minor league seasons with the Orioles. He hit .143/.143/.143 last season with the Orioles in 28 at bats.
Hudson was a 4th round pick out of Illinois in 2008.
