Matt Klentak Leaving Orioles to Become Angels Assistant GM

Matt Klentak is leaving the Orioles to become the Angels assistant GM, according to Roch Kubatko of MASN. Klentak was  hired by Andy McPhail in 2008, and primarily worked on  contracts, 40-man roster management and arbitration as the Orioles’ director of baseball operations.

He will join Jerry Dipoto, who was a GM candidate for the Orioles before taking the role with the Angels.
