The Latest Orioles GM, Manager, MacPhail and Showalter Speculation

Here’s the latest chatter surrounding the O’s current GM & manager situation:

  • Everyday that current GM Andy MacPhail remains an Oriole makes it more and more likely that he stays on for 2012, writes Dan Connolly of the Baltimore Sun.
  • MacPhail is still deciding on what to do and it’s unlikely we hear a decision before Friday, according to MASN’s Roch Kubatko.
  • Even if MacPhail leaves, it’s becoming less and less likely that Showalter moves into the front office, as the Orioles value him in the dugout, according to Kubatko.
