John Stockstill Will Remain Director of Player Development

Dan Duquette has confirmed that John Stockstill will remain as Orioles director of player development, according to Steve Melewski of MASN.

The Orioles have been under much scrutiny for their failure in player development during the Andy MacPhail era, so this may come as a surprise to some that they are retaining  Stockstill. Duquette could simply be giving Stockstill one more shot, or the Orioles feel as if he is not the problem. Either way, the Orioles failures in player development will need to improve, and they must feel as if Stockstill and company can be successful.
