A week ago, Endy Chavez was designated for assignment to make room for Nate McLouth on the 25 man-roster, according to Roch Kubatko.
Chavez has since cleared waivers and is expected to report to AAA Norfolk on Tuesday.
Endy hit .190 with 2 homers and 8 RBIs in 47 games for the Orioles this year.
