The Diamondbacks have claimed RHP Brad Bergesen off waivers, according to Kevin Goldstein of Baseball Prospectus. He was designated for assignment after his brief, one game call-up the other day.
Bergesen, 26, pitched 80.1 innings with a 4.03 ERA for the Norfolk Tides this season. He compiled a 4.68 ERA in 394.1 innings with the Orioles from 2009-2011.
He was selected by the Orioles in the 4th round of the 2004 draft.
