Shorebirds Game Cancelled On Sunday In Third Inning

Shorebirds begin final homestand of season on Tuesday

Hagerstown, Md. – The Delmarva Shorebirds game against the Hagerstown Suns was cancelled in the bottom of the third inning on Sunday afternoon with the Suns leading 1-0. The game will not be made up.

The Suns took a 1-0 lead in the first inning. Khayyan Norfork singled to right-center field with one out. After a hit batter and a wild pitch, Justin Miller singled to score Norfolk.

Parker Bridwell struck out four batters over 2.2 innings. He allowed two hits.

The Shorebirds offense managed only one hit, a lead off double in the first inning by Greg Lorenzo. Suns starter Blake Schwartz retired nine straight batters.
