The Tides have announced that RHP Willie Eyre has been released.
Eyre, 33, went 1-3 with a 7.92 ERA in 25.0 innings for AAA Norfolk this season.
Eyre pitched 18.1 innings with the Orioles in 2011, posting a 3.41 ERA.
He was released to make room for Miguel Gonzalez, who was optioned from the Orioles.
