Rain Extends Night In Aberdeen

Bird Lose Second Game in Series Against Tigers, 3-1

ABERDEEN, MD- A rain delay split up Saturday night’s game for The IronBirds as they faced the Connecticut Tigers in the second game of the three-game series on Saturday night. Continuing his at bat, Vega smacked a sacrifice fly into centerfield to send Edman to home plate.

In the top of the 7th inning, the Tigers extended their lead by one run after C Bennett Pickar hit a sacrifice fly which sent in DH Zach Kirksey for a run, capping the score at 3-1.

DH Joel Hutter ended his 13 game hitting streak, reaching base in the bottom of the ninth off of a wild pitch by P Heckaman.
