1B Joe Velleggia has been promoted from Aberdeen to Delmarva. In a corresponding move, INF Michael Rooney has been transferred to AA Bowie
Velleggia, 24, had 26 plate appearances for Aberdeen this season.
Last season he had a .257/.351/.433 batting line in 243 plate appearances for Aberdeen.
Velleggia is a Native of Monkton, Maryland. He attended local high school Calvert Hall before playing at Old Dominion University.
