Christian Walker Named Eastern League Player of the Week

BOWIE, Md. – Baysox first baseman Christian Walker has been named Eastern League Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, April 20 after hitting his first and second career Double-A home runs this week. Walker is the first Baysox player to win the award this season.

Walker hit .421 (8-19) for the week with a triple, two home runs, six RBI and five runs scored. He has hit safely in eight consecutive games dating back to April 11 with four multi-hit games during that time. In 16 games this season, Walker is batting .299 (20-67) with two doubles, two home runs and 10 RBI. He is currently tied for second in the Eastern League with 67 at-bats and tied for fourth in the league with 20 hits.
