Catcher Brian Ward has been assigned to AA Bowie. Caleb Joseph was promoted to AAA Norfolk
He has been playing in extended spring training games since Saturday.
Ward, 26, is known for his defensive prowess. This season was expected to be an important one in terms of development, but was thwarted when he received the 50-game suspension for a “drug of abuse”.
