Tides shortstop Blake Davis led the International League with a .565 batting average over the past week. He collected a remarkable 13 hits in just 23 at-bats, turning in multiple-hit efforts in five separate games. Davis enjoyed his biggest night this week on Friday in the first of a four-game series with the 1st place Charlotte Knights in which he established new season-highs with four hits and three runs scored. 28-year-old Blake Davis is in his seventh season as a professional player. His entire career has been spent within the Orioles organization, including parts of the last four seasons with the Norfolk Tides. Davis is a native of Newport Beach, California.
