Still, the point is that Greg Zaun isn't a player that the team would hesitate to trade within the division.

Why would they hesitate to trade Guthrie? He can sign with them next off season if he wants to anyways.

Who can understand what goes on in Peter Angelos' head?

I know it's way to early to come to any conclusions about the trade but Hammel and Lindstrom are both off to great starts.

Hammel has been very solid so far. Lindstrom hasn't given up a run yet but has been very hittable.

So far the trade is looking pretty good for the Orioles. Guthrie has been struggling in Colorado.

Im not sure why Colorado thought that Guthrie would be a good fit for them. Guthrie is a good pitcher, but has struggled with the long ball throughout his career. Coors Field is not the place to struggle with the long ball.

Guthrie is a good innings eater, but an ace he is far from that.

What impressed me most about Hammel's performance tonight is that this is the second time that Toronto has seen him in the last eleven days. It's not like he was an unknown commodity.
