Chen vs. Rays tomorrow

Chen vs. Rays tomorrow

Buck has left Chen in the game for just a tad too long as of late. He needs to be on a short leash tomorrow.

I'd hope they turn to Hunter, Arrieta, etc. if Chen struggles early.

With Chen, Gonzalez, and Tillman lined up and Price having pitched Sunday it sets up perfectly for the O's in this series. The 3 best starters all going in a row tied for first in the AL East. Whether they win or lose these games at least they are going out with their best available.

On the other hand, it sucks that potentially Saunders and/or Johnson is going to have to pitch Thursday and/or Friday but we can worry about those games if they are necessary.

Buck did it yet again... The error on Machado certainly wasn't Chen's fault but he wilted after that.

I couldn't believe he left him in there with 1st and 3rd nobody out. It's as if Buck forgets he has one of the best bullpen's in baseball sometimes.

That's exactly what I was thinking.

Buck didnt take him out because he liked the matchup better with the kid that was catching at the plate. He didnt want to face Scott or Joyce. That being said, this time of year he should have a righty and lefty warming up that changes on the situation. Patton or Matusz or even Phillips if its one batter, would of been the choice then to keep their lefty PH on the bench..Bring in Ayala to face Jennings, UPton, Zobrist, Longoria. They wouldnt be pinch hit for.
