While everyone keeps talking about Britton and Tillman to come up and secure the rotation, Gonzalez has been stretching himself out in AAA.
I watched his start yesterday and he was stellar. 8 K's working into the 7th inning before losing stamina/pitch count getting too high.
Remember his highest pitch count before yesterday was 83, so still a work in progress. He was pretty good though.
Toledo (team he faced) is a rather bad AAA squad right now, but Gonzalez is surely keeping himself in the picture for a spot on the mlb club.
