Just thought I would share that. Definitely not something you see very often even in the minor leagues!

Tweeted this earlier:

The Shorebirds Brenden Webb is 2nd in the SALLY with 55 BB. His OBP of .419 is 5th.

amazing that he has such patience at the plate. He has never had an average over .240 though. Certainly not your typical player.

I get the BB is nice. I tweeted the 5BB during the game and agree really odd stat, and he was batting cleanup that day. (He usually bats 5th).

Concern is his BB rate is high and his K rate is high. He has some pop in his bat and I'd like to see him put more balls in play overall.

Regardless of the K's, his .419 OBP is impressive. Batting Average is just a componet of On Base Percentage. He seems to have decent speed with the double digit stolen bases. Time to see if he can hang in at Frederick?

This guy hits for a very low average, I don't see that many homeruns either so I'm not sure why anyone would piutch around him.

Struck out in four out of five yesterday. Must like standing in the batter's box.

He sure knows how to get a pitch count up.
The power has been coming on as of late.

I think he is one of the more intriguing options in the lower minors right now.
