They can't get on base and when they do get on base they don't make many productive outs as evidenced by the fact they lead the league in strike outs and double plays. Let's hope Roberts, Markakis, and Reimold all can get healthy, stay healthy, and play at a high level so maybe this offense can live up to its potential.

Amazing that they are only 1 game out of first in the AL East with these numbers. Buck must being doing it with string and mirrors. Imagine if they ever start hitting on all cylinders.

great points. Strikeout to much, slow, station to station, hit into double plays........
Good pitching almost always beats good hitting. Think back to the Oriole teams from the 60's and 70's.... They had pitching. When the 2012 O's pitch well they win. It's all about pitching in my opinion. Improve the pitching and we can play with the big boys long term.
I hope that going forward Duquette will aquire guys that can make better contact, steal a base when needed and stay out of the double play. Perhaps even bunt when called upon to do so.
