Draft Grade

I honestly admit I know every little about the players we drafted so I was wondering if those in the know would like to grade this draft??? It seems to me we reached a bit in the early rounds, although I was quite pleased with the SC 1B we picked up. He seems like a natural hitter

I would not go draft grade, it is just not the way things are done. I talk in terms of value. I did like a few of their picks and they were targets of a few clubs, some including mine.

There is some stuff to like with Kline. He has drive and competes hard, solid work ethic. He is not a high risk and at worst he will be a nice middle reliever, if the starter role is stunted at any point.

Marin is a nice project and some skills, he too has a high motor.

Nice mix of powerLHP (Lex), command artists (Waltrip), projection (Poche, Grendall)

A few power RHP (Wager, Velazquez, Bazzani, Grim)

Lets see who they sign as there are a few post 10 rounders that are better than their draft slot. At this point it is solid, it simply depends who is in the fold on July 14th.

1. Derick Velazquez
2. Kevin Grendall
3. Jake Pintar

Velazquez seemed like one of the better picks in the 15th round, based on value.
