1B Christian Walker Univ South Carolina.

Good hitter.

Here you can see him hit an opposite field double off our #1 pick, Kevin Gausman:

Keith Law ranked him #76 overall, so there's value with that selection.

Walker will fill a role in the system desperately needed, that's for sure.
He sounds like an interesting option though. Maybe a quick mover, unless the power does not develop.
He's certainly a winner in a big program.

6'3 185 lb Lefty pitcher from Texas high school. From what I read, he was highly regarded and routinely had over 12 scouts at each of his games. Threw 59 consecutive scoreless innings. May be a tough sign, though- has scholie to Arkansas.

Fastball sits 88-91 apparently.
Number 99 Prospect in Texas according to Baseball America.

Honestly at this point if he has below average power, doesn't strike out too often but is an on base machine... then he's an upgrade. I just hope he isn't a DH only type someday.

How many of these guys are looked at as having a good shot at being big league starters (or relievers for some of the pitchers).

I think its really iffy on most of them staying as starters from what I have read.
They all could be pretty good bullpen guys though (with Gausman being the clearcut guy to stay in the rotation obviously)
