LOL that's terrible, but hilariously true.

agree.
I think Appel might be over all of them though if there.

personally I'm not that high on Appel. I'd much rather have Fried or Gausman. Am I nuts?

Dan Connolly is saying that he isn't sure the Orioles actually go with Appel here. Apparently demands are scaring people off which would make sense since he is a Boras client

Nuts no not at all, there is no wrong unless you like the 25th ranked player (Ala Hobgood). For me Im hoping Giolito or Appel.

The chances of a player not signing do not do much to help the player, Boras or not. Chances of a guy improving draft stock at 1:4 are pretty limited.

Wow! It really was Gausman all along. Gratz to Kevin Gausman.

yeah I liked Giolito a lot too just feel it's a bit of reach at #4 considering his injury history but who knows. He's got great potiential and could be one of the best in the draft

I can't wait to read what folks will say over the next few days. Kyle Zimmer going prior to Giolito wasn't shocking. But prior to Appel as well.

I will guess something we don't know is in the works here. Is it monetary demands?

I'm thinking it has to do with Boras being his agent.

Appel to Pirates.
They sure are spending heavy the past 2 years.
Good for them though.

My understanding is it's a different ownership/Management group. In years past you could count on them to do things on the cheap, but no longer.

They don't quite have the same freedom to spend a ton of money now though. Their entire draft budget ($6.6) is less than what the Astros get just for the first pick ($7.2M)
