PostPost #1 by Tucker Blair » May 13th, 2012, 12:32 pm

Current Delmarva Rotation: Dylan Bundy, Tim Berry, Parker Bridwell, Tyler Wilson, Eduardo Rodriguez, Miguel Chalas.
Current Frederick Rotation: Kyle Simon, Scott Copeland, Mike Wright, Trent Howard, Justin Moore.
Current Bowie Rotation: Tim Bascom, Bobby Bundy, Jake Pettit, Cole McCurry, Zach Clark.
Current Norfolk Rotation: Chris Tillman, Joel Pineiro, Steve Johnson, Richard Zagone, Jason Berken.

Zagone just called up to AAA
Trent Howard moves from pen to rotation in Frederick.
This is bound to change soon, I'll try and keep this updated here.

Current Norfolk Rotation: Chris Tillman, Joel Pineiro, Steve Johnson, Richard Zagone, Jason Berken.

There's not a ML STARTER prospect among them. Pineiro is a long man, Johnson's ceiling is a long man or middle reliever, and Tillman could be an impact late reliever once the team accepts that will be his most effective role.

Current Bowie Rotation: Tim Bascom, Bobby Bundy, Jake Pettit, Cole McCurry, Zach Clark.

BOBBY Bundy is the only legitimate ML STARTER prospect among them. Pettit could be a quality ML middle reliever.

Current Frederick Rotation: Kyle Simon, Scott Copeland, Mike Wright, Trent Howard, Justin Moore.

Wright and Howard are both legitimate ML STARTER prospects, but the rest all have ML potential.

Current Delmarva Rotation: Dylan Bundy, Tim Berry, Parker Bridwell, Tyler Wilson, Eduardo Rodriguez, Miguel Chalas.

Clearly, the class of the system. All of them have ML potential and Bundy could be a perennial All Star.

IMO, this list makes a strong case for drafting a college starter with the first pick in the up coming draft. After DYLAN Bundy, it may be a few years before any of this group makes a meaningful contribution at the ML level.

I would like to keep the current team together so the fans can having a winning team after fourteen years, but this list isn't going to look any better if we don't make a trade or two.

Ryan Berry should be moving back into the starting rotation soon, and they just stretched him out to three innings yesterday. He also should move up to Bowie when that happens.

Zach Davies at Delmarva is probably headed for the rotation at some point, too.

Wonder why they have McCurry back to starting, and Zagone still starting. You'd think their best chance is in the pen.

And it's weird about Bascom. He actually got drafted ahead of Arrieta.

Call me crazy but I still haven't given up on Tillman. He's still only 24 years old and has shown flashes.

Tillman could be dominant reliever...and he is stuggling in his 4th season as a starter for Norfolk...anybody else think its time to make the switch?
No idea why McCurry is starting. He looked like he was on a quick route to Baltimore's bullpen.
Berken and Pineiro are long men at this point in their careers.
Zagone probably won't last for more than once or twice through AAA lineups.

I forgot that Pettit was placed on DL.

he will miss a few starts. Not sure who takes his rotation spot yet.

Also it seems that Bennett Parry will be joining a team shortly.

I read that the results weren't necessarily reflective of how he was pitching. Reports were that he has been throwing good all season but a combination of working on things and a bad defense behind him is the reason that his stats don't look great.

Tyler Wilson was promoted to Frederick today. Keys also have Matt Bywater, who was a starter last season in the pen.

Also down in FLA you have Ken Wise who could start.

Eddie Gamboa moved to AAA.
he had taken the spot of Pettit (Injury)

Now I am guessing he is taking the spot of Pineiro (Injury).

David Baker is moving from pen to rotation. He will fill Tyler Wilson's spot, whom was called up to Frederick.
