Pelzer released

Pelzer released

Among several of the other releases last week was Wynn Pelzer, #49 prospect, according to Baseball America.

A little puzzling...He wasn't terrible.

Seems to be a lot of releases for this early in the year. I hope that means that players are expected to earn their spot in the org. and not just the majors

IMO this is a step in the right direction. In the past the guys we released would have been given roster spots even though they had little or no chance of contributing at the ML level.

not sure how he can be released yet Pedro Viola and a bunch of other org fillers still hold roles.

Just my opinion, but I'd rather keep a guy with at least some form of value, whether it is marginal or not.

Sometimes it is not the player, it is the organization....

Talent is talent, wasted talent really falls on the feet of whom when you see arm, after arm, after arm fall off?

The prospect list is a joke. It's just a way to get people excited about certain players. That list could be argued left and right. Look at their performance vs their competion. That's a better way to be excited about a player. If he can handle the competion at his level then be excited.

Pedro Viola is the next one that needs to be released.

The trip got cancelled. A cow knocked over an oil lamp and the place burned to the ground.
