Bowie eliminated from playoffs

With a loss today, Bowie has been eliminated from the playoffs. It's a shame. Avery, Mahoney and the others could have learned a lot from the experience. Oh well.

Would have been nice to get Mahoney a few more at-bats, too. Unfortunately, his wedding is going to keep him away from the AFL which would have benefited him more than the playoffs. We'll have to wait until next season to see if Mahoney is really the player he was this season.

Are there any other off-season programs he could take part in other than the AFL before Spring Training, or will we have to wait until then? And once ST comes, do you think he will start off with the minor leaguers or given a chance with the O's as lots of prospects are at first before the roster gets constantly trimmed down?

That doesn't shock me, but I hope they are doing it to get him ready for a RP role. I scouted him a couple times last season and knew from day 1 that he couldn't be a starter. Guys just start teeing off on him once they get his delivery down the 2nd time through.

What exactly is easy to see in his delivery? Why is he easy to hit? Haven't seen him pitch, curious.
