A look at the Orioles in the standings

Currently, the O's sit at 29th in all of baseball. Here are the bottom teams in order as of September 7th, before all games:

30) Pirates 46-91
29) Orioles 52-86
28) Mariners 54-84
27) Indians & Diamondbacks 56-82
25) Royals 57-80

To be honest, even with September/October full of the AL East, I think the O's at this rate could push for that 25 spot with Buck under the helm.

What do you guys think? Will the O's stay in that 29 spot, move up one or a few, or drop back down to 30th with a tough remaining schedule?

To make up 5 games with only 24 left to play is a tall task, but I can see the O's moving up another notch or two before the season ends.

I see what you mean. I hope to at least move up a spot or 2. As long as we are in the bottom 4, though, we get one of the top draft spots coming in (for the 3 pitchers + Rendon).

With Trembley around, I wouldn't have been surprised if we somehow defied the laws of baseball and took 38th place

And I hope so. If we could take 25, though, that would be spectacular.
