Buck Showalter discusses O's prospects

Orioles manager Buck Showalter believe the club has some really good prospects despite what the national media has reported. (Baltimore Sun)

Most notable part was when he said there are a ton of guys in the system that clubs are interested in trading for. Guessing he means guys like Bridwell, Hoes, etc.

I would imagine every team that calls the Orioles is interested in Bridwell.

I can understand GMs doing their due diligence but WHY would any team think that we would want to trade the few legitimate prospects we have? I would think it would be several YEARS before we'll be in a position to trade real prospects for ML vets.

because the Orioles are the Orioles :D
It never hurts to ask though. Realistically as you said, the Orioles should never be trading a prospect for any players at this point in time.

It's my sincere hope that in a few years we can change that statement to "the Orioles WERE the Orioles".
