Some details via Don: these would go into effect next off-season and for the 2013 draft.

- Under the new agreement, Type B compensation will be thrown out the window and type A is likely to change from 1A to 2A compensation.
- This off-season is likely to remain "as is" with compensation for type A and type B.

All of these CBA issues can slightly change, but we are in the understanding at the moment that teams will no longer give up picks for players.

It might be 1st and 3rd post round, or 2nd and 4th round depending on the player when it is all finalized.

Most firmly believe that the lose of pick is out the door, which I for one has always been ready to scrap.

Big names from the Mets are not the David Wright's of the world. It will cost a lot to strike a deal.

Jair Jurrjens is being shopped and the price is set as if he is a 1A pitcher

Prado is not being offered at this point despite the media putting it out in the open.

The Orioles are almost certain to non-tender a player. They have been shopping in a few markets, not in the top tier at this time.

It will be interesting to see how quickly that first big is worked out to gauge how much clout Duquette has.

I'm for losing draft picks for signing free agents, but not gaining them for letting them go.

There will be between 30 and 45 games of inter league play (this is being tweaked to specifics as I speak)

Logistically, this season's schedule may still be weighted geographically, but expect a better balance facing the 14 teams evenly in 2013. It might make it in time for 2012, but highly un-likely...
