Troy Patton is a keeper

Watching Troy Patton today...he should be a solid reliever for a long time if he stays healthy. He didn't hit 90 but that off speed stuff should play well.

I wonder if he could setup eventually....

He's topped out at 91 mph this year. Hit 92 mph last year but he hasn't hit 93 or 94 mph after the surgery.

Patton has little margin for error and must have his secondary stuff working to be effective. He is cheap so that makes him a solid left handed option, but he would not be my first left hander out of the bullpen if I had to reconstruct it this off-season.

Most important part there is that he is cheap. Patton should be a solid, cheap reliever for the next 6 years.

His secondary stuff has been outstanding over his past few outings.
