I recall screaming at the laptop last year in the 3rd round hoping we would draft A.J. Cole. I like Klien (although the news on the injury is concerning). Got to watch Cole the other night for Hagerstown and he is really starting to take shape as a solid prospect.

Odds are against Klein to make/contribute in major leagues.

It looks like the budget this year will be between 10 and 12M. If it was 15M we could have added at least three more solid prospects.

When is this team going to learn WHERE to spend the money?

I agree that they still should spend more, but $10-$12 million should get them ranked as one of the top three spenders this year.

When it gets a new owner, and not one second sooner (but possibly much later, obviously).

That's easy. the additional $3-$5 million will most likely be used this off season on some washed up worthless middle reliever who fans will be yelling "DFA DFA" in reference to by mid-May.

Seems to me that there is a reoccurring theme of LOOGYs in this draft. Fowler, Ward, Howard, Taylor, Wooten.

I am taking my Trent Howard thoughts that he could be lighting in a bottle because of his location, lack of exposure. If he took up to coaching quickly, he has the frame and potential to be something significant. I look at his early career numbers and think he could be a solid left handed mid to late rotation starter or at worse a middle relief pitcher.
