Not a great start, but that was a pretty nice breaking ball Arrieta just threw to Bautista.

He's at 120 something I believe. There's no way he continues to hit .360. The interesting thing about Bautista is because 1/3 of his hits are home runs, he'll always have a very low BABIP because HRs don't count towards that state. He's at a .344 BABIP this year, excluding home runs. Simply unsustainable.

Matt Wieters had a .356 BABIP his rookie season. Give him that number this season and he has an .800 OPS easily.

He's hitting line drives 21.6% of the time. No doubt Wieters has been hitting the ball hard; there's just been a ton of bad luck. When his fortune turns around I think we'll see the Matt Wieters we've been waiting to see, not that we haven't seen flashes of that this year though.

Honestly, the worries regarding Markakis may be a bit exaggerated. He's hitting line drives at the highest rate of his career, and his .255 BABIP is the lowest of his career.

I actually just looked up his line drive percentage after you mentioned Wieters and couldnt believe that. Seems like he's hitting nothing but weak fly balls and grounders to 2nd. Maybe it'll come around

After an awful throw away on pickoff attempt, one of the errors that bug me the most, Arrieta and Lee just made a real nice play for that put out
