Well if there's one way to get excited about watching a game during a 5 game losing streak its having your possible best pitcher make his season debut. Definetly happy to have Matusz back. What I'm not excited about is I just saw Markakis is playing 1B for the 1st time ever. As if he wasnt having enough problems. I'm not a fan of that. Lets hope it doesnt cost them any runs

I see Fox was DFA'd to make room for Matusz. Really dont have a problem with this. There wasnt much playing time available to him with the team carrying a full time DH and Scott also being on the team

Palmer mentioned how maybe Scotts shoulder caused him to make the bad throw. If the guys shoulder is messed up he needs to get it fixed and quit playing the field and costing them. With Vladdy on the team Scott cant regularly DH and I dont think he should be in the field with a bum arm

This is turning into a real nice pitchers duel. Love watching young studs go at it...as long as we come out on top

I don't understand. Someone smarter than me: why is Matusz being pulled after retiring 10 straight before a throwing error on a broken-bat nibbler with only 85 pitches? Anyone?

Cant give a good answer to that one. Hasnt been getting hit hard, you'd think he could at least finish the inning. Instead the shaky bullpen gets extra work

Regardless of logic of pulling him, was still a real nice and encouraging first outing

He's not good on defense or offense; really just a wasted space on the roster like you said.
