For the Orioles

Nate McLouth LF
Manny Machado 3B
Chris Davis 1B
Adam Jones CF
Nick Markakis RF
J.J. Hardy SS
Ryan Flaherty 2B
Taylor Teagarden C
Wei-Yin Chen LHP

For the Giants

Marco Scutaro 2B
Joaquin Arias SS
Brandon Belt 1B
Buster Posey C
Hunter Pence RF
Pablo Sandoval 3B
Jeff Francoeur LF
Andres Torres CF
Chad Gaudin RHP

Nick Markakis drops to fifth in the order for the first time this season. So far in 2013, Nick has a career low in batting average, on-base-percentage, and slugging percentage. I'm waiting for him and Wieters to catch fire.

This loss was a microcosm of why this isn't a championship team. When you're 0-for-8 with RISP and you leave 10 runners on base as a team it doesn't make any difference if you only give up three runs; you aren't going to win many games like that.

One game is one game. The Orioles are VERY good with RISP. We have a .793 OPS, good for third in baseball. There are 162 games in a baseball season. If you could point to one game where the Orioles didn't hit well with RISP, and make that game an example of why the Orioles aren't a championship team, I could easily point to a game where they did hit well with RISP, and name that an example of why we are a championship team.
