Maybe Gausman until Chen comes back, but then it gets interesting. If Britton pitches well in his next start but Hammel doesn't tonight, it might be Hammel. He went to the bullpen in 2011 and straightened himself out. It might work again.

Well aware he isn't forcing the issue with his performance in Norfolk, but gotta imagine Wada ends up in Baltimore at some point this season. Wouldn't be surprised if they plug him into Strop's mop-up role and see how it goes.

It's possible, but I see them continuing to stretch him out so that he's available as a SP.

They definitely like having a lot of SP options available at Norfolk. That'd give them Wada, Garcia, Jurrjens and Britton. Yeah, you could be right.

You would hope they learned their lesson from this spring.

He can't come back for another eight days unless he's replacing a player going on the DL.

Jairo Asencio. In 35 innings, Asencio has a 9.3 SO/9, 1.8 BB/9, 5.7 H/9, 2.34 ERA, 0.837 WHIP, and 3.32 FIP. A lot of those numbers are just slightly better from his career numbers at AAA, so it is not like Jairo is having a career year. He is not on the 40-man roster, so I'd suggest designating Josh Stinson for assignement. He is not a very good pitcher at all. Option Gausman and call up Asencio. Britton will be sent down once Chen comes back.

Who ever takes Pedro Strops place in the Bullpen should be a Player/Players that have "Options" remaining. These lack of "Options" was the reason that Strop could not be sent out to improve his repertoire. Having multiple pitchers with "Options" allows Buck/Dan to matchup better in upcoming series and when Pitchers need an extra day or two of rest.

These pitchers are on the Forty Man Roster and/or the DL. This is what we have to work with as the Roster is currently constructed. Correct me if I am wrong.
Out Of Options:

Chris Tillman
Jason Hammel
Scott Feldman
Tommy Hunter
Troy Patton
Jim Johnson
TJ McFarland

Have limited options:
Wi-Yen Chen
Tsuyoshi Wada

Have Options Remaining:
Jair Jurrjens
Steve Johnson
Josh Stinson
Dylan Bundy
Kevin Gausman
Brian Matusz
Darren O'Day
Miguel Gonzalez
Zach Britton

McFarland still has options, but we have to keep him on the 25 Man Roster all year because he's a Rule 5 pick.

Chen and Wada would normally have options at this point in their service time, but I know that Wada's contract restrict any option to his consent and i believe Chen's is the same way.

That is why I listed Chen and Wada as limited options and also why I posted McFarland as having none. I do not think that McFarland would first clear waivers and secondly that Cleveland would not take him back if he did clear waivers.
