Plenty of velocity for Bergy. Seen him hit 93 twice so far

All these extra pitches thrown because of an error. Bergy isn't stretched out enough for that

Is Adam Jones plate discipline getting worse rather then better? Wow

So I guess that second inning was the result of that reversion to the mean everyone had predicted by looking at the O's pitchers' BABIP.

I would have liked to see him try to get through the inning, if only to get his pitch count up over 100 and to once again send the message to pitchers that they'll be expected to pitch through days when they don't have their best stuff. Observationally, the biggest change to our pitching staff last year when Buck came aboard came from his tendency to stay in the dugout when they were struggling. One of the things I most wanted to see this year was that same approach. He was able to do that last year because the season was already lost. It's harder to do that now, when the season still matters. Still, I wish he'd just continue with the way he handled things last year.

I think they didnt want him to go much past 90-95 because he hadn't pitched since Mar. 25 and that day he only threw 4 pitches before being hit with the liner. I normally agree with lettin them pitch through struggles but he hasnt been stretched out.

Real nice stroke from Lee on that homer. He might be about to get hot

That's what I mean though. He hasn't been stretched out, so use this as a chance to get him stretched out.

As unproductive as he's been, he's made solid contact since game one. Unlike Vlad, who might as well have a tennis racket.

Yeah I dont think Vlad's made solid contact yet. I dont even remember him ripping a foul. His hits have just been seeing eye singles

J.J. flashing the leather. Im really liking him. I dont think we lost much if anything defensively bringing him in over Izturis and gained so much offensively
