Don't see him listed on any roster.

UPDATE
Called Baysox and he's apparently back in Florida for unspecified time. Definitely not there now.Don't understand what's happening w/this. He played in a couple of exhibition games and got some hits. Now he's gone??

No Travvon Robinson, either.

The Orioles have set break camp rosters for each minor league affiliate. The final and official opening day rosters will be announced later next week.

The four opening night starters will be Zach Clark for Triple-A Norfolk, Mike Wright at Double-A Bowie, Devin Jones at Single-A Frederick and Parker Bridwell for Single-A Delmarva.

An earlier entry on this was deleted in a brilliant move by yours truly and is now being recreated so keep checking back for more.

Cuban outfielder Henry Urrutia is not listed here and it appears he still has to finalize some paperwork before he can play in the regular season. It is possible that won't happen in time for him to be with a club for opening day.

Of the 26 players listed on Norfolk's break camp roster, 22 have big league experience including 11 of the 13 listed pitchers.

NORFOLK

Pitchers: Jairo Asencio, Mike Belfiore, Zach Britton, Zach Clark, Manny Delcarmen, Rob Delaney, Freddy Garcia, Mark Hendrickson, Jair Jurrjens, Daniel McCutchen, Scott Proctor, Adam Russell, Daniel Schlereth

Catchers: Luis Exposito, Chris Robinson

Infielders: Russ Canzler, Travis Ishikawa, Yamaico Navarro, Niuman Romero, Jonathan Schoop, Danny Valencia

Outfielders: Chris Dickerson, L.J Hoes, Conor Jackson, Jason Pridie, Trayvon Robinson

Is there a particular reason that Xavier Avery is in AA instead of up at Norfolk?

He had a poor spring and I thought I read somewhere that his attitude has not been what was expected.

What he (ofahn) said, as well as not being able to hit.

One more reason to follow LJ Hoes season closely.

I haven't read where he had an attitude problem. His progress has really been retarded by the immigration issues. I would like to see him start at Delmarva and work his way up. Perhaps someone can provide some updated info on him??? 8-)

I don't like the placement of some of our players.

-I'm actually fine with Xavier Avery going back to Bowie. He never just have been moved up to Norfolk in the first place. He's still only 23; time to turn talent into results.
-Zelous Wheeler, Buck Britton, Jacob Pettit, and Caleb Joseph should be in Norfolk.
-Jonathan Schoop should be in Bowie.

Agree that Schoop and Avery belong in Bowie and Petit to Norfolk. The guy had a good year in 2012 and is pushing 28.Ty Kelly s/b in Norfolk too. He might be needed in Baltimore and could use the experience in triple A.

Nice blurb about him in a minor league report by BP:

Position Prospect of the Day: Henry Urrutia, OF, Orioles (Double-A Bowie): 4-4, 2 HR, 2 R, 5 RBI. I had a great conversation with a front-office member about Urrutia, in which the FOM said, “He can hit, but everything else is still a work in progress.” He spoke to the fact that Urrutia was very raw in all aspects of the actual game. His ability in the outfield and running the bases were two weaknesses that he singled out. Overall, we both agreed that the hit tool may be enough to get him to the big leagues, but he will need to add polish to his game; .375/.405/.550 with 1 2B and 2 HR in last 40 at-bats.
