From 2010-2012 Young has hit left handed pitching fairly well.

I'd offer Young a 2 year deal because he fits our needs for the next two years at the very least. But I have no idea what Young is looking for especially after a good playoff year.
The Orioles were one of the worst teams in 2012 in scoring runs off of left handed pitching. Maybe it was just a coincidence but I'd rather not tempt fate again considering the number of left handed quality pitchers we will have to face.
This is a team that wants to focus on pitching, defense, and OBA. Young is, at BEST, challenged defensively in LF; so he should really be the RH part of a DH platoon. We have Reimold or Steve Pearce for that and they won't cost us "stupid money".
As I understand it, you're suggesting that we sign a bad defensive player that doesn't walk enough and has a questionable reputation to bat about 160 times against LHers since we would normally only face them about 25% of the time. I'm sorry, but that sounds like a desperation move that isn't necessary.
