The real issue is securing our schools and protecting our children. We live in a society where guns are NEVER going to go away and the mentally deranged are going to get access to them. We've had 33 school shootings since Columbine. That needs to stop and now and the only way to do that is to have daily details at all of our schools to deter and confront violence when necessary. You can spend unlimited amounts of money on mental health - and I agree more should be spent - but as long as you live in a gun-oriented society, you're going to have more Newtowns and Columbines unless you starting taking more drastic steps to protect our kids. It's time for President Obama to take charge and make this a national policy to secure our schools and at the same time create a Presidential Legacy we all can be proud of as Americans
