For those of us that know the sight we know how great the forums are. However, to a new visitor enjoying the forums for what they are might need some enticement. What I mean to say is, I would have your main articles up top. Even a casual fan will enjoy those first and foremost. I would place the links to those articles up near the top with links inside each article to the forums. That might bolster the population somewhat.

Also sadly, Al Gore's internet is littered with forums of every variety. That said forums sometimes get a bad name. It might take some time for people passing by to work up the courage to join and participate. Jordan, honestly it's a very good sight and you should be proud of it. Many of us have strong opinions regarding this or that issue. However, the posting population here is a great bunch of folks and very good about respecting one another. This sight as is, remains free and with few rules. Please keep doing what your doing now and it will grow.

Over the past few days I've been re-designing the site. I plan to finish it this weekend. Please be aware that ON may be down for the next two days.

A few reasons why I felt the need to re-do the design:
- The previous theme was old and didn't work well with the current version of WordPress. The new one is more optimized for search engines, is a much cleaner design, and loads faster.
- The new design lets things like follow buttons and the search bar to take up much less space.
- The new design is much more focused on content and should be much easier to navigate. For example, it should be much more clear when the post your reading is part of the minors blog.
- Old player pages were badly designed. New ones provide a number of new features and many more ways to sort players.
- Pages will all be the same width. No more different widths for different page types.
- Speed. Already mentioned before but the new site should be much faster. With the new theme I was able to cut out 5 plugins which should load all pages faster.
