Orioles seem a little frustrated. Want to add, but appears they don't have money to play big on FA market.

The most intelligent signings would be for less than 40M, anyways.

DD has said all along the O's wouldn't be major players in the FA market. We would look to fill our needs primarily thru trades. No surprises here.

No money? What a joke.

It's one thing to not be able to get any trades done but to claim they have no money after last season is sad.

Baltimore's payroll will be between $90MM and $100MM next season.

Anyone know how to twitter smack anyone that tweets that sorta thing? DD never said he wanted to play big on the FA market.

I'm not concerned. If we could cut a deal for Morneau or Butler, this would be a grrrrreat offseason 8-)

If they can trade for a young first baseman like Hosmer or even Smoak (or get a top-notch prospect for that position) and re-sign Saunders, plus continue to pick up other nuggets here and there as they've been doing, I'd consider it a decent off-season.I don't think they have to sign Hamilton or Swisher, or pay out 40 million for Dickey or Dempster, to be successful.

I really think they need to re-sign Saunders. He has experience, and seems to handle tough situations very well. If he reverts back to last seasons early struggles he could always be flipped at the trade deadline.

My guess is that they're willing to offer a one year deal with a vesting option, but no more. IMO that's a fair deal for him off of last year. I don't think they see him as worth a two year risk. Not with Bundy and Gausman coming in 2014.

They are blowing their chance to leapfrog the Yankees. The only good news is the Rays are doing nothing too.

What moves do you see them capable of making that wouldn't involve WRECKING the franchise by paying "stupid money"?

Ryan Ludwick. Solid right handed outfield bat.
