I'm getting the vibe that the O's want to add more veteran SP like Myers and Saunders so they can trade one or two of the younger SPs (Matusz, Arrieta, Tillman, Britton) for that middle of the order bat that Duquette just mentioned to Britt Ghiroli as being a priority.

Adding a couple of veteran SPs on one year contracts gives us a bridge to Bundy and Gausman in 2014. Even Bobby Bundy, Mike Wright, and some of the other SPs may be ready by then, too. If we add two solid veteran SPs this year even Tillman becomes trade bait and we could land a solid hitter for him and someone else.

I agree. It still amazes me that they're now in a position to trade SP.

That's what I'm thinking as well. Bundy and Gausman may even be ready late 2013 and still have innings available if the Orioles start them off slow like they did with Bundy this year. I could see them matching up well with the Padres, Royals, and Diamondbacks.

I'm confident that DD will make a good move if there's one to be made.

Honestly for the bullpen, I wouldn't object to signing him. As a starter I would have reservations.
