Also Endy is still a good defender. It's why we all didn't hate the idea of his signing at the beginning of the season. He isn't the best hitter in the world, but as a 4th OF...well he's not that bad (defensively at least)
Even though his bat is weak he still is an above average 4th OF IMO. He gives plus defense at all three OF positions and has plus speed.
IMO, he's like the opposite of Betemit. Endy gives a weak bat with incredible defense and everyone hates on him for his bat while Betemit gave a strong bat vs RHP with a bad glove and everyone hated on him for his bad glove.
I guess 14 years of losing took its toll. (How nice is it that we can talk about that in past tense?)
