I really hope we take a run at Headley this offseason. Machado really could use another season in the minors. Hopefully Matusz and Arrieta get it done or some combination with one of them

There's absolutely no question that Machado is ready to play at this level. His magical first four games were against a AAA (KC) pitching staff and should be discounted. Since then, despite playing against much better pitching with informed scouting reports, he has just gotten better. You can see the adjustments in almost every AB.

He's REALLY going to be something.

As someone who watched him countless of times in the minors, I can safely say he has nothing left to learn down there.
It's all about making the adjustments at the MLB level, and he is doing a fine job with that so far.

Does anyone REALLY still think this kid isn't ready to stay in the ML?

He goes 0 for 5 leaving a platoon of runners on base but still plays excellent defense and then comes up one more time with the game on the line and gets the job done.
