How come? I don't mind them all that much.

Have to agree here. Personally, I enjoy hearing their voices and like the way the call the game.

Former top prospect Pedro Alvarez drills a ground-rule double to right field.

From the description of the play, seems like he just got caught up. I don't think he was going for the steal.

Bergesen's a soon to be father. The first thing he's going to teach his son? "How to throw a sinker." :D

Doumit lines out to Izturis to end the inning. Bergy strands Alvarez at second base.

I believe so. If so, Bergy's line:

27 pitches, 17 strikes. 2 IP, 1 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, 2 K.

Hardy singles to LF. Thought about going for two, but held up.

Reynolds at 3, Hardy at 1... all results of no BRob and Lee. Let alone Buck will mix up the lineups in ST to see what works best in the 1st place.

Nice to see Reimold HR. Then again, remember last ST, 1st game, Bell hit 2 jacks. We remember what happened to his season in 2010. So can't read too much into it. But at least Reimold didn't start off 0-21 or whatever it was last spring.

Vlad with the RBI. Already knocking em in. Beautiful.

And props to Bergy. Very nice. As always, can't read into it, but efficient pitching and able to get thru the 2nd with that man on 2nd. I wanna hear later on how this Rupe guy pitches.

Unrelated to the game, but Baseball Prospectus' Kevin Goldstein ranks Manny Machado and Zach Britton as the #16 and #17 prospects in baseball.

Bergy is pitching great so far only 11 pitches through 2 innings lets see if he can get through the 3rd unharmed.
