Ryan Flaherty with 4 hits tonight, including the go-ahead Solo HR in the 8th.
Flaherty is now 7-10 after starting off slow on his rehab assignment.

L.J. Hoes added his own 2 Run homer and finished 2-4 with 3 RBI.

Jerome Pena has quietly been tearing it up since the all-star break. He started out with Aberdeen and then has since been promoted twice.

He was a little old for Aberdeen and Delmarva, but he is hitting .350/.435/.550 since being promoted to Frederick. Not a bad start.

The thing that sucks for Flaherty is that when he does get back he isn't going to play at all even though he is on a tear.

You are probably right. He was barely playing before anyways.
They've officially gone thru the season with him on the roster though (wont matter in September), so chalk that up as a success.

True, they wanted him and they got him. I don't see anyway he is playing more than once in a blue moon with Quintanilla/Andino platooning at 2B, McLouth/Ford platooning in LF, and Machado at 3B. He's not the worst insurance in the world if someone goes down with an injury though.

I wonder if they'll give him a legitimate shot at 2B next year?
