Wildcard Situation

Wildcard Situation

PostPost #1 by osforlife » August 9th, 2012, 12:06 pm

The Orioles are currently in a three way tie for the two wildcard spots. The Orioles, Athletics, and Tigers all have the record of 60-51 as of 8/9/12. How would they dispute this if this is what it came down to after game 162? What would they have done last year with only 1 spot?

My guess would be the better head-to-head record between the 3?

YIKES! I think it was easier to land the rover on Mars. Points for the explanation.

I had to read it a few times to understand it too. Makes sense though.

Not worried about other teams yet. O's need to keep winning this month and in September is when I'll start looking to see what the other teams are doing.

Looks like Tampa is going to run away with the first wild card and perhaps challenge the Yankees. Looks like it comes down to A's, Tigers, Angels and Orioles. Advantage A's with their great pitching 8-)

Every hot team cools off eventually. I wouldn't pin the Rays down for anything yet. As I wouln't for the Orioles, A's, Tigers, Angels, etc.

Angels are quickly falling behind, they better get rolling again.

I'd pick the Rays & Orioles for the 2 wild cards to be honest.

I'm with you for the time being, I'm doing minimal scoreboard watching, we gotta take care of our own business before worrying about our competitors games.

Seems a good place to put this information given the potential for a playoff run.

MLB.tv is offering a 10 dollar deal for the rest of the baseball season. The offer is valid only until 11:59pm on Monday.

It's the Premium package and includes AT BAT 12 which allows you to listen or watch the game, and you can access both from your phone. Here's a link:
